This Morizot frères violin bow is an excellent player, it was made in Mirecourt in the atelier of Louis Morizot and his sons in the mid 20th century, in the most productive and successful period of their history. The violin bow is lightweight and a typical French Morizot violin bow with all the sought-after features of the earlier Louis Morizot violin bows, especially its highly tensed, active and bounding stick and an excellent powerful, crisp sound, that is bright and radiant. The strong and reactive, tense round bow stick has a weight of 57.8 g and is perfectly balanced and thus features handy lightness and stiffness and is set up with a nickel-mounted ebony frog with a Pearl eye. This unique Morizot freres violin bow features a total length of 74.1 cm including the length of the adjuster and has a well-centered sensed balance-point; slightly inclined towards the lower half of the stick, it is measured at 25.5 cm. We can recommend this highly active Morizot violin bow for especially for virtuoso play. The price includes a certificate by J. F. Raffin, Paris.
