This antique classical violin bow is a rare english original made around 1800. The bow is stamped Dodd on the frog and was either made by one of the Dodd's or sold by through their shop. The weight is 52,5 g. The strong round stick is made of fine pernambuco wood. The original frog is made of ivory, the adjuster from a later period. The bow is preserved in undamaged condition, has been restored by a professional bow maker and is in immediate playing condition. This rare English classical bow has excellent playing qualities and is offered with a certificate by the renowned expert Roland Baumgartner, Basel.
