Crafted by an unknown maker to us - this excellent gold mounted violin bow stamped A.E.S. was probably made around 1910 in one of the influential Markneukirchen ateliers. The elegant head of the fine dark-brown pernambuco octagonal stick demonstrates solid workmanship. The gold bow's perfect balance point feels broad and centered; it measures at 27.6 cm, and the total length is 74.4 cm. The ebony frog is gold mounted and equipped with an exceptionally beautiful adjuster. With its elegant stick that is elastic and features remarkable strength and agility; it plays very fluidly and creates a sophisticated, warm sound which is precise and has a depth and beauty that is hard to find.
