François Nicolas Voirin: Excellent light French violin bow, easy to handle and responsive, with a bright, radiant tone.

François Nicolas Voirin (1833–1885) is considered an outstanding employee in the famous workshop of Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume, whose entrepreneurial success and lasting fame as a master of French bow making are largely based on his work. Many of the most precious violin bows bearing Vuillaume's name were made by Voirin. The François Nicolas Voirin violin bow presented here, bearing his original workshop stamp, is one of the most impressive examples of 19th-century French bow making and is also highly valuable to collectors due to its provenance. Made around 1870, this fine French violin bow displays a level of craftsmanship and tonal quality that impressively reflects the artistic standards of its time. The fine silver fittings complement the musical qualities of the carefully crafted, elastic round rod made of first-class pernambuco wood. With its precise, responsive playing characteristics and typical French brilliant sound, this 56 g lightweight violin bow is ideal for demanding virtuosos and high-quality instruments. The piece is in excellent, playable condition – professionally checked and refurbished in our workshop. A certificate from J.-F. Raffin is included. Shipping is free of charge, including a 30-day return policy.
