Lightweight French violin bow, atelier C. N. Bazin

This French violin bow was built approx. 1900 in the atelier of Charles Nicolas Bazin and is a lightweight piece, Tourte model, and a typical French bow, that produces an excellent, bright and fluid sound. The strong, round stick was made of orange pernambuco wood, with elasticity, high tension and good stability especially at the tip. The bow has a balance point at 27.4 cm, that is sensed perfectly well-balanced. A nickel mounted ebony frog with mother-of-pearl eye is a very suitable setup for this quality atelier C. N. Bazin
