This old French violin bow with "Sarasate Maître" stamp is a good work from the Maison Laberte in Mirecourt, built in the first half of the 20th century. The stamp refers to "Sarasate Maître" premium instruments series by Laberte. The round stick made of fine pernambuco wood is of medium strength and has its broadly distributed balance point centrally located, slightly inclined towards the upper half of the stick and measured at 26.3 cm of the total length of 74.4 cm. With its very good weight distribution, the perfectly preserved "Sarasate Maître" violin bow exhibits the best playing characteristics, it plays smoothly and somewhat fluidly, producing a warm, precise sound, rounded, with volume and a sophoisticaed character. So, this violin bow nicely complements sharp, bright or brilliant sounding violins. The bow frog is mounted with handsome nickel silver parts. The finely crafted head shows individual style. This beautiful, typical French Laberte violin bow is in excellent condition and, like all our violin bows, of course ready to play. Including Corilon's trade-in guarantee and an optional certificate of value.
