This recommendable French violin bow was made by Laberte in Mirecourt in the mid 20th century around 1940 and bears a G. Fournier stamp. The round stick is made of orange-brown pernambuco; it is conventient to handle, plays moderately strong and features high tension. The silver mounted frog is made of ebony and is adorned with a Pearl eye and a silver-ebony adjuster. The head of the violin bow is crafted with great attention to detail; the violin bow's total length is 74.5 cm, it has its balance point centered slightly shifted towards the lower half of the bow stick which is measured at 26.6 cm including the length of the adjuster. This fine French Laberte violin bow produces a typically French sound: large, warm, noble with perfect clarity. The price includes a certificate of authenticity by J.-F. Raffin Paris and Corilon's general trade-in option.
