This strong and skillfully made violin bow by E. Buchner was handmade around 1980 in Germany. The violin bow was crafted with much attention to local bow making tradition and thorough workmanship, especially the frog and the head are accurately carved and neatly finished. The octagonal violin bow stick is made of red brown pernambuco wood of the best quality. The stick is of very good strength and plays strong and powerfully, yet actively and with high bounce. The ebony frog is nickel mounted, decorated with a white shimmering pearl slide and a Pearl eye. The violin bow's sensed balance point is well centered, slightly shifted towards the fog and measured at 25.9 cm from the frog end. This powerful German violin bow produces a recommendable warm, clear, large, warm sound.
