German violin bow of the Markneukirchen school, made around 1960/1970 by E.W. Zimmer in Markneukirchen. The strong octagonal stick is made of brown pernambuco. The bow plays very active with good elasticity. The ebony frog is silver mounted with pearl eye and white pearl slide. The measured center of gravity is 26,5 cm from the frog end, the felt center of gravity is slightly towards the frog. The bow is perfectly preserved, undamaged and with new hair, leather and silver winding. The sound is clear, strong and large, powerful and with generally somewhat dark, typical Markneukirchen character.
