Fine violin bow, silver, a disctinctive work of the Knopf family in Markneukirchen. The piece was crafted in the late 19th century and has an active, tense stick of finest dark brown pernambuco. The elegant, two-colored upright head has a distinctive character to it; the ebony frog has a Parisian eye and fittings of genuine silver. Masterful craftsmanship can be seen in the central weight distribution of the round stick; the balance point is measured at 26.5 cm including the length of the adjuster. The bow is 73.9 cm in length, and the bow weighs a total of round 59 g. This is a wonderful violin bow for demanding musicians and is with traces from playing in perfect condition. It has a bright, sweet sound of volume that is fluid and resonant.
