German violin bow by H.R. Pfretzschner made around 1940 in Markneukirchen as a fine qualiy handmade piece of work. This silver mounted violin bow bears the original H.R.Pfretzschner stamp on shaft and as a coat of arms on the frog. This is a bow that feels lightweight and conveniently handy - the fine quality octagonal pernambuco stick is a strong and active player and features high tension and reactivity. The ebony frog is silver mounted with a Parisian eye and a green-rose shimmering pearl slide. A small repair to the ebony that has no impact on sound or stability allows us to offer this bow at a reduced price. Without any cracks or damage to the stick, this strong, active violin bow is offered in perfect playing condition, with new hair, leather and silver winding. It produces a warm, bright, rounded sweet sound. A certificate is optional.
