This recommendable French violin bow was made approx. 1950 in Mirecourt - it is the Grandini model made by the renowned J.T.L. ateliers. Its strong, round stick has excellent stiffness and tension - it was crafted from pernambuco wood and features a very well distributed diameter and a nicely designed, small head. The narrow ebony frog is nickel mounted and has a yellow shimmering mother-of-pearl slide and a mother-of-pearl eye of white color. The balance-point is sensed well-centered, inclined towards the lower half of the stick and measured at 24.9 cm at a total length of 74.1 cm. Thus, the violin bow feels lightweight in the hand and is easy to handle. This good French violin bow plays very well in active bow techniques and is despite its weight easy in control and handling. Like all Corilon instruments and bows, it is offered in best condition and ready to play. This good French violin bow produces a bright, clear powerful sound that deserves our best recommendation in the price range.
