Belgian violin bow, L. Dolphyn, Bruxelles approx. 1940

This fine quality violin bow stamped "L. Dolphyn Bruxelles" is a high-class quality Belgian masterpiece from the 1940'ies, probably original. The bow measures 74,5 cm from head to frog end and has a weight of 60.5 g. The delicate round stick is made of medium strength, nicely elastic and made premium, dark red-brown pernambuco wood. The stick combines medium strengh, tension and elasticity - this bow is notably easy to handle, active and easy to play in bouncing techniques.
