From the hands of the great French master and Vuillaume student Prosper Colas comes this highly recommended French violin bow with fine silver fittings and original stamp, unmistakably a work of this master. This outstanding violin bow was made around 1900 and is a typical example of Prosper Colas bows in the time of his greatest successes. The round pernambuco stick is firm and of high elasticity, its sensed balance point is in the middle, measured at 25.8 cm of the total length of 73.8 cm. Values that describe a fine French master bow with all those good playing characteristics for which French bow making is famous. With a Parisian eye and a whitish-rose shimmering mother-of-pearl slide, this silver mounted violin bow is masterfully elegant. A work of a masterfully gifted hand, it proves itself not least by its large, warm, clear and precise tone.
