Violin bow - C. A. Hoyer, Markneukirchen, lightweight

German violin bow that crafted in the 1940s at the highly regarded ateliers of the Markneukirchen bow maker C. A. Hoyer, who established his business in 1865. The oktagonal stick is made of lovely light-brown pernambuco, it is a lightweight yet surprisingly strong player and very forgiving at play. The ebony frog is nickel mounted and a short throat that is typical for the French style; the broad head and the button decorated with a ring of ebony match the aesthetics of the strong yet lightweight stick. The balance point of this 73.8 cm is central and broad, slightly inclined towards the frog, and measured exactly 27.4 cm (including the button). The warm, large sound created by this beautiful C. A. Hoyer bow from Markneukirchen with its original stamp is supriringly voluminous at the lightweight, radiant and clear.
