Very good quality light violin bow with excellent playing characteristics and an almost French sound

The bow was handmade in Markneukirchen around 1940. The octagonal stick has a perfect combination of elasticity and tension, so the bow plays firm with high bounce. The head is especially beautifully crafted. The ebony frog is nickel silver mounted with mother of pearl eye and minor playing marks on the stick and frog. Like all our instruments and bows, the bow is delivered ready to play. The bow has its center of gravity in the middle, slightly in the lower third of the stick close to the frog. A very and highly recommended bow that plays very actively and produces a bright, strong, almost French sound.
