Fine master violin by Ferdinand Jaura, a master violin maker from a well-known Viennese violin making dynasty who settled in Munich in 1940. This violin was probably made in Munich circa 1942. This violin with excellent sound is a very attractive, quality masterpiece. The top was made of attractive medium grained spruce, the two piece back of flamed maple, very good and nice tonewoods, on which a varnish with warm golden-orange-brown color was applied, which shows patina and bears the typical marks of time and intensive playing. The violin's former owner had it made by Ferdinand Jaura in Vienna and, according to his son, played it every day. The characterful upright scroll is a consummately beautiful piece of work rarely found. Warm and bright, radiant, mature and clear is the overtone-rich sound of this master violin, which we offer in exceptionally good condition with minor restorations. This interesting antique violin is offered from first ownership with original proof of purchase from Ferdinand Jaura after a reconditioning and thorough refurbishing in our expert violin making workshop, ready to play. Worldwide free shipping with 30 days return policy.
