This beautiful Schonbach violin is an especially beautiful Czech instrument made by Wenzel Hoyer, it is one of his most late works before his death in 1900. It was made in Schönbach / Bohemia and it bears the original label. The glossy varnish is a rich oil varnish of an intensely shining bright golden orange brown color. The varnish that bears skillfully made antique touches and imitates the famous Cremonese varnish strikingly is of premium quality, with wear from intensive playing at the typical places. The fine quality woods are fine quality fine grained spruce for the top, the two piece back of flamed maple. This powerful yet warm and radiant sounding Wenzel Hoyer violin is preserved in excellent condition, it is preserved completely crackfree. We offer this Wenzel Hoyer violin after a meticulous workover in our atelier for violin making and restoration in best playing condition. Her bright, powerful, mature and ringing sound is of excellent power, warmth, clarity and maturity.
