This good French violin was made in the Laberte workshops in Mirecourt around 1910. The violin has a striking outline, distinctive soundhole and a transparent yet luminous golden-orange varnish with beautiful antiqueings, all marked by the style of the most prominent figures in French violin making that was prevalent in the mid 19th century. The violins unique character and premium quality distinguishes this Mirecourt violin from many of its sisters which hail from this workshop. The musical appreciation this good antique French violin has received can be seen by some traces of use, especially on the back, which is crafted of wonderfully flamed maple. The violin was meticulously worked over by our luthier and is offered crackfree, ready to play.
