Excellent French violin by Laberte, made around 1920 in the violin making village of Mirecourt. The medium grained spruce of the top and the reddish brown varnish with many playing marks and very tastefully executed corners determine the attractive appearance of the violin. The gentle arching of the top and the two-piece back is very nicely worked out. The especially pretty scroll radiates unmistakably French character. We offer this beautiful French violin with a minor repair in good condition and ready to play, thoroughly set up by our luthier. Its strong sound is bright and radiant in the upper ranges.
