This well-made replica of a slim Amati violin model has a warm, somewhat mellow sound, this violin originates from Markneukirchen in Saxony, where it was handmade around 1900. The robust Markneukirchen workmanship becomes obvious in the thoroughly worked out archings and the small soundholes. With its beautifully transparent and luminous light-brown varnish the violin appears classy and sophisticated. Many traces of use indicate, that this instrument has a rich musical biography and has been well taken care of. The instrument has been meticulously worked over in our atelier and is offered crackfree in very good condition, ready to play. It is easy and convenient to play, has a good response and a recommended, well-balanced, warm, bright, somewhat mellow sound.
