This especially beautiful antique Markneukirchen violin with a strong sound features a warm, mature tone and solid workmanship. The violin was handmade around 1920 in Markneukirchen-Saxony most likely by Schuster & Co., it bears no label. The antiqued varnish bears some traces of use, a beautiful dark-orange-brown color over a yellow ground, with some patination and signs from playing. Having no cracks or repairs, this antique Schuster & Co. violin is perfectly preserved. Like all instruments from us, the violin has been worked over and set up by our luthiers. The sound sound is bright, clear in character, resonant and well-balanced over the strings yet with good clarity and brilliance in the upper ranges.
