This interesting Viennese violin was handcrafted in the 1910's. It is a most beautiful replica of Stradivari made in the best Viennes tradition of the early 20th century. The materials are well chosen, the deeply flamed maple that was used for the two piece back is notably beautiful. The rich and crquelled oil varnish bears traces from playing, the varnish is highly transparent and of a luminous orange-brown color, traces of time determine the mature and antique appearance of the violin Demanding players will appreciate this excellent Vienna master violin's warm and bright, radiant, sweet and well balanced sound - the tone is of remarkable quality in the price range - clear with singing sweetness in the higher registers and well defined mature warmth in the lower ranges.
