This antique German violin is a powerful and assertive Stradivarius model that was made around 1920. Solid and quality-conscious craftsmanship and well-selected tone woods characterize this antique German violin that shows many traces from playing — regular grained spruce for the top, and mildly flamed maple for the one-piece back. The violin arching, the thoroughly applied purfling and bold scroll, that has a typical German character, are the mark of a routined hand that did good and solid work. Like all instruments in our catalogue, this antique German violin is ready to play, having been worked over by the luthiers in our atelier. We recommend its outstanding sound of good strength that will also win over demanding young musicians.
