This fine French violin comes from a fine background — the internationally renowned atelier of Paul Blanchard in Lyon. The instrument was made in 1901, shortly before the death of the much-honoured master. Later, his atelier had been taken over by his successor, Emile Boulangeot, whose works remain in high demand to this day. The influence of the esteemed master Paul Blanchard had a tangible effect on the aesthetic and acoustic character of thuis fine violin, which was patterned after a somewhat broader yet clearly traditional model inspired by Stradivari. The large scroll with its blackened edges is beautifully complemented by the spruce table, which has a moderate grain and a symmetrical beauty to it, and by the maple back with its broad, deep flaming. We offer this fine atelier Paul Blanchard violin with a table repair in good condition and ready to play,  carefully set it up in our workshop. The violin's warm voice full of character and the sound is full of mature precision and dark, mellow and warm.
