German master violin, a Saxon masterpiece by Max Schlesinger in Dresden with a beautifully flamed one-piece back. The experienced hand of master can be seen in this extraordinarily beautiful German master violin, which was crafted in 1913. The mild arches of the body feature handsome, soft fluting on the top and back, and the interior also reflects the outstanding craftsmanship of the instrument. A transparent red-brown varnish complements the deep flames of the one-piece maple back and ribs. Delicately executed purfling sets the premium tone woods in an excellent light. With minor repairs only (button, corner) this crackfree violin is ready to play after having been thoroughly worked over by the specialists at our atelier and develops a large, warm, mellow sound full of character and volume.
