An ancient Neuner & Hornsteiner violin of best Mittenwald quality and timeless beauty

This Neuner & Hornsteiner violin with an original label dated 1892 is a 19th century violin of rare beauty, made on the Stradivari model with flat archings. Interesting tonewoods from the Karwendel mountain region were used for this violin with its remarkably beautiful two-piece spruce top. The warm,  golden-orange toned varnish is patinated and shows several traces of use, and with its high age the violin appears matured and very sophisticated. This highly interesting violin from Mittenwald is in perfect crackfree condition and features a definitely convincing sound: bright, warm, open, cultivated, precise, somewhat sweet and highly differentiated.
