An ancient Neuner & Hornsteiner violin of highest quality and timeless beauty, masterfully handmade in the renowned Mittenwald

This Neuner & Hornsteiner work is a 19th century violin of rare beauty, made on the Stradivari model with flat archings. Interesting tonewoods from the Karwendel mountain region were used for this fine violin with its remarkably beautiful one-piece spruce top. The warm, honey-toned varnish is patinated and shows several traces of use, and with its high age the violin appears matured and very sophisticated. Some old restoration to pegbox and back seam have no effect whatsoever on the sound or the playing characteristics of this good Neuner & Hornsteiner violin and are considered in the price. This highly interesting violin from Mittenwald features a definitely convincing sound: bright, warm, open, cultivated, precise, somewhat sweet and highly differentiated.
