German violin from Markneukirchen, Saxon Stradivari copy

An antique German master violin made in a Markneukirchen master workshop around 1880

This delicate and especially well-executed German violin was made in Markneukirchen in approximately 1880. This distinctive  violin shows an individual style which is beautifully enhanced by the intense traces of use dating back through several generations of musicians. The rich grain of the spruce used on the top and the deep flames of the two piece maple back are clearly visible under the patinated golden-brown varnish that covers premium tonewoods. This quality German violin is clearly the work made in an experienced master workshop working independendly from the Markneukirchen violin manufactories at the time - it has been kept in top condition and despite some varnish flaws has no cracks repairs. Like all violins from Corilon this gorgeous instrument was set up by and made ready to play by our luthiers.
