French violin by Ch.J.B. Collin-Mézin, 1927

This French violin with a slim neck was made in the Collin-Mézin ateliers in Mirecourt in 1924. The violin bears the Collin-Mezin model "Selection" label and is further signed No 27. The model is highly arched, the arch is very typical for Collin-Mezin fils instruments. The top is made of medium grained spruce, the one piece back of deeply flamed maple.
