This Georg Reinl workshop violin was made after 1950 in Erfurt and is an exceptionally good sounding instrument. It is a flawless manifestation of Erfurt luthier Georg Reinl's model, which was patterned after the classic Italian master Guarneri. The brandmark on the back confirm that the violin is indeed the work coming from the atelier if this experienced and productive master, a violin maker who came from the Bohemian town of Fleissen and settled in the German state of Thuringia after World War II. The evenly and moderately grained spruce of the top and flamed sycamore maple of the two-piece back are premium-quality tone woods set off by a rich coat of luminous orange-brown spirit oil varnish. The culmination of Georg Reinl's precise and skillful craftsmanshipeducation can be seen in the scroll, a beautiful carving marked by refined aesthetic sensibilities. It gives the instrument a crowning touch which is a wonderful complement to its sound: bright, powerful, clear and brilliantly radiant. Crackfree and with only a pegbox repair preserved in excellent condition, this violin was meticulously worked over in our atelier, and it has earned our warmest recommendation.

Like all our instruments and bows, this includes our trade-in guarantee and an optional certificate of appraisal.
