The stamp "Imperial" inside the violin indicates this premium violin model of C. Schuster + Sohn in Markneukirchen, Saxony. Only quality old stringed instruments of sound and the most exact craftsmanship received this eminently respectable appelation. With its intensely colored dark red varnish and the perfectly inlayed purfling the violin has an attractive mature character. The scroll and the large soundholes in the style of Guarneri are carved with much attention to the detail. This undamaged violin has been worked over at Corilon violins atelier for violin making and restoration and is offered in excellent condition. Its tone matches the predicate "imperial": large, full-bodied, mature, differentiated and well-balanced over the strings. This violin will easily suffice demands of the ambitioned musician.
