This quality student violin was built in Klingenthal in Saxony, approx. 1850, after a flat Antonius Stradivarius model. It features an exceptionally good sound and is offered at a very low rate due to a minor repair at the pegbox that is well executed and without any impact on the musical qualities of the violin. The back of the pegbox has another minor flaw, a knothole. Aside from this, the instrument is preserved very well and was worked over meticulously by our luthier, who made it ready to play. We clearly recommend its beautiful, mature sound, the typical voice of antique violins, that is full of character, warm, strong and precise, clearly defined, with immediate response and well-balanced across all strings. This violin is an excellent choice for anyone, who requires an instrument with perfect sound for ambitious educational purposes.
