French violin by Laberte-Humbert frères

This sonorous instrument is a very nice French violin by Laberte-Humbert frères, made in Mirecourt in the 1920s. It bears Labertes Anderas Borelli brand label. The patinated varnish bears meaningful traces from playing - it is a transparent spirit oil varnish of an orange-brown color with clear playing marks. The pretty French scroll is carefully worked out. The fine and tight flaming of the one-piece back is strikingly beautiful. The violin is offered crackfree and ready to play as all violins in our catalog reworked by our luthiers and in perfect playing condition. The powerful sound is matured, clear, dark, rich in overtones and radiant and overall well balanced.
