Fine German master violin - a study of a 1827 J.B. Vuillaume violin

Fine German master violin from the mid to late 19th century, probably from Markneukirchen or one of the major cities such as Dresden or Berlin. This violin displays exceptionally fine craftsmanship and bears an internal brand stamp "MF". A handwritten label dates to 1827, and an early J.B. Vuillaume inscription at Lete. It is assumed that this is a so-called "bench copy": This technique means that an instrument that was on the bench for repair was carefully examined and precisely copied. The varnish, colour and wood quality of this violin are particularly noteworthy and bear a remarkable resemblance to the well-known Lete instruments. The transparent and beautiful oil varnish emphasises the exquisite craftsmanship and gives the instrument a noble sheen. The sound of this fine violin is impressive: a big, warm, strong and potent sound, characterised by a mature and voluminous timbre. The trebles open up sweetly and clearly, offering an unforgettable sound experience. This fine violin is in excellent condition with some minor repairs and no signifcant damage. The back shows a flowing and lively flaming, which makes the instrument even more visually impressive. The pegs are decorated with gold mother-of-pearl eyes, indicating the high esteem in which the instrument was held by its former owners. This German master violin is an impressive testimony to master craftsmanship in terms of sound and appearance and an excellent choice for discerning musicians.
