Modern violin. Probably Markneukirchen approx. 1980

This German fullsize violin is an unlabeled modern instrument of quality that was presumably made in Markneukirchen around 1980. This German fullsize violin is an unlabeled modern instrument of quality that was presumably made in Markneukirchen around 1980. It follows the principles of Markneukirchen education and might even be a journeyman's piece that originates from one of the Markneukirchen violin making schools. The details reveal a thoroughly working but inexperienced hand. The fully handmade instrument is modeled on the classic Stradivari model, it is quite beautifully made with well-considered archings and notably nice work on the scroll. The maker focussed on premium materials and created a tonally surprisingly good and optically attractive handmade violin of outstanding sound quality. The premium tonewoods are covered with a bright and shiny orange-brown varnish. The spruce top and the maple back are ornamented with a delicate purfling. This undamaged modern violin was carefully worked over by our professional luthier and is offered in perfect condition, ready to play. The violin sound is of outstanding quality in the price range: strong, clear, mature, radiant, balanced and of notable power.
