This petite French violin was crafted in the 1920's in an unknown workshop of the renowned center of violin-making Mirecourt, probably in the Laberte ateliers. This old French violin was designed after patterns of Stradivarius and is preserved in perfect, undamaged condition. The glossy varnish of intense golden-orange color with some tracxes from playing determines the attractive appearance of the instrument; the inlaid purfling is a good reference of quality craftsmanship. This good old French violin has been - like all of Corilon's old stringed instruments - completely worked over by our luthiers, who made it ready to play. Her strong, warm and mature sound is highly recommendable, unfolding with power and beautiful singing resonance in the upper ranges.
