This antique French violin was crafted in the 1870's in an unknown workshop of the renowned center of violin-making Mirecourt. The violin was designed after patterns of Stradivarius and with some small repairs and minor flaws (considered in the price), it is preserved in good condition. The glossy varnish of intense golden-orange color with some traces from playing determines the attractive appearance of the instrument; the inlaid purfling is a good reference of quality craftsmanship. This antqieu 19th century French violin has been - like all of Corilon's old stringed instruments - completely worked over by our luthiers, who made it ready to play. The bright clear and mature sound is recommendable, unfolding with power tio the advanced player and beautiful singing resonance in the upper ranges.
