This old violin was built after the model of the great Giuseppe Guarneri, a beautiful, skillfully crafted violin with a highly recommendable sound. It was handcrafted around 1920 in Markneukirchen. Handmade Saxon quality can be seen in the overall style, the shape of the scroll, the arching and the selection of tonewoods, and the antiqueing of of the light-brown varnish. This old Markneukirchen violin is in perfect condition, it was carefully worked-over by our experienced luthier and is offered ready to play. Its fine, precise tone is a pleasure for the player and the audience, of good strength and with beautiful resonance and interesting mature notes, but also strong and clear.
