Outstanding German violin, Saxony approx. 1920

This old German Saxon violin with an outstanding tone in the price range was built around 1920 in the renowned Markneukirchen as a very successful work after models of the classical Cremona violin makers . It is an outstanding example of the flawless quality that can be found in handmade instruments from Saxony. More than a manufactured instrument, the violin maker precisely knew the characteristics of famous Italian patterns, and he followed them closely as it is demonstrated by the elegant outline of the body, the soundholes, the arch and the artistic work at the scroll. Finest quality tonewoods were chosen to craft this instrument with medium archings, flamed maple for the two-piece back and medium grained spruce for the table. With many, numerous traces from playing, that are considered in the very reasonable price, but without any repair or damage, the outstanding tone of this German violin is an insider's tip in the price range, besides its varnish flaws, is preserved in excellent, crackfree condition.
