This interesting French master violin by Maitre Jean Striebig (*1910) is an instrument that found its way to us unlabeled, together with a gold medal certificate and some original unused Jean Striebig violin labels and photographs (these now decorate our violin making workshop and are not included). The instrument was made in Mirecourt and part of the Reims exhibvition in 1942. Jean Striebigs splendid inividual models are very much sought after by musicians worldwide. This interesting French master violin by Maitre Jean Striebig (*1910) is an instrument that found its way to us unlabeled, together with a gold medal certificate and some original unused Jean Striebig violin labels and photographs (these now decorate our violin making workshop and are not included). The instrument was made in Mirecourt and part of the Reims exhibvition in 1942. Jean Striebigs splendid inividual models are very much sought after by musicians worldwide. The top is made of medium grained spruce, the two piece back of deeply flamed maple. The varnish is of a golden orange-brown color over a golden ground. The violin is preserved crackfree and completely undamaged - now set up with a new bridge, soundpost and strings we offer this fabulous instrument  in full playing condition. The warm sound is clear, powerful, strong and robust.
