This German violin from the Markneukirchen region in Saxony is a good quality handmade instrument, that was made around 1940 as a piece of well-educated, solid Saxonian craftsmanship. It is an unlabeled instrument that features an exceptionally good in the price range - warm, clear, responsive, mature, powerful and balanced. The fine grained spruce of the top was well chosen, the violin is covered with a glossy and transparent varnish of an orange-brown color that shows with patina and signs from playing.
