This beautiful German violin by Kurt Raabs hails from the 1930's, a handmade Markneukirchen violin after Stradivari patterns, is of excellent quality and workmanship. The quality tonewoods are well selected. The top is made of regular medium grained spruce, the one piece back of deeply flamed maple. The beautiful soundholes are especially neatly and accurately worked out. The transparent varnish is of a luminous orange brown yellow color of premium quality, with some patinations and signs of use. This good Kurt Raabs violin is preserved crackfree is offered like all instruments from us in full and immediate playing condition. The well balanced sound is of brightness, power and strength, having a matured, warm character, the tone opening up into a bright and clear singing tone in the upper registers.
