This instrument is an especially beautiful copy of Maggini. The violin was handmade around 1900 in Markneukirchen in Saxony. The model is typically large and made with Maggini styled double inlaid purflings and neatly cut soundholes. The tonewoods are of very good quality. The varnish is transparent yet of a golden brown color with especially beautiful expertly made antiqueings. The violin is crackfree and in perfect condition. It has been set up with a new bridge, soundpost and strings and is in full playing condition. The sound is clear and strong, dark and quite dominating. Special recommendation!
