Historic master violin from the Vogtland region, circa 1780-1800

This extremely interesting historic violin was crafted around 1780-1800 in the Vogtland region of Saxony. It was unmistakably influenced by the region's classic design, although at the same time it reflects a strong influence by the old masters of Cremona, and in fact this instrument that bears a Giorgio Bairhoff label has been sold as such in his history. Medium arching resembling the Italian masters shapes the aesthetic of this well preserved Vogtland master violin, as does the two-piece back with a seal below the button covering a button repair. The restoration specialists at our atelier have carefully checked some old acceptable restoration of this highly recommendable violin, and they completely set up the instrument and made it ready to play. Its complex and timbre-rich voice has a golden character to it, which serves as further proof of the excellent sound which has made historic violins from Saxony an inside tip amongst demanding musicians.
