French violin after F. A. Glass, Mirecourt

This recommended French violin was crafted in the 1940's in an unknown workshop of the renowned center of violin-making Mirecourt. The antique violin was designed after patterns of Friedrich August Glass and is preserved in perfect, undamaged condition. The dark varnish of intense redbrown color determines the attractive appearance of the instrument; the inlaid purfling is a good reference of quality craftsmanship. This good French instrument - like all of Corilon's old stringed instruments - completely worked over by our luthiers, who made it ready to play. Her strong, warm and mature sound is highly recommendable, unfolding with power and beautiful singing resonance in the upper ranges. This unusual "Germanic" French violin is an excellent choice in the price range.
