French viola bow, J. P. Gerard (Ary France)

This French viola bow, an excellent French J. P. Gerard viola bow at an affordable price, was probably made by Ary France in Mirecourt. The viola bow is a very good quality and very handy French piece of work made around 1980. The villa bow's round stick of good strength is stamped J. P. Gerard on shaft. The bow stick is of very good tension and elasticity and plays notably strong and active at useful strength producing a clear, strong, French tone. The viola bow's ebony frog is nickel mounted with a Pearl eye and pearl slide. This viola bow has a weight of 71.9 g and a centered balance point, slightly inclidced towards the tip - this French viola bow i sa strong yet active player which is very hand and easy to play. The J. P. Gerard viola bow is offered undamaged, with new hair and works well with most instruments and produces a bright, clear, strong, typically French tone.
