M. Couturieux: French violin by Laberte-Humbert Frères

This beautiful French violin is a M. Couturieux model by Laberte-Humbert frères. The instrument was made in Mirecourt in the 1920's, it bears the M. Couturieux model label. The highly transparent varnish is a rich spirit-oil varnish of a bright red-brown color with minor wear from playing. This recommendable French violin is preserved in perfect undamaged condition. Like all violins in our catalogue, it has been meticulously worked over by the luthiers in our atelier. Her sound is mature, dark, clear, open, well-balanced, radiant and rich in overtones.
