Fine German Stradivarius copy, approx. 1920

This delicate and especially well-executed German violin was made by an unknown maker around 1920 in keeping with a broad Stradivari model which features a delicately crafted flat table. The attractive aesthetic of this unnamed piece has distinctive and shows an individual style which is beautifully enhanced by the intense traces of use dating back through several generations of musicians. The rich grain of the spruce used on the top and the deep, broad flames of the maple back are clearly visible under the bright, radiant golden-orange brownish patina of the spirit oil varnish. The violin has been kept in top condition and has no repairs. Like all stringed instruments from Corilon violins it was set up by and made ready to play by our luthiers. Powerful and full of resonant strength, its voice is bright, open and warm.
