Old French violin. J.T.L. Mirecourt, "L'incomparable"

The J.T.L. ateliers in Mirecourt offered the inexpensive "L'incomparable" Violin line to the public in particular so they could have access to simpler but solid-quality instruments with very good musical properties. Correspondingly, many of the "L'incomparable" antique violins available today have intense traces of use, and crackfree preserved examples such as this violin for sale, which is in perfect condition, are quite rare. This typical JTL instrument was made around 1930; it was made following a broad model with inlaid purfling. This old French violin is despite many traces of use visually appealing with its subtle and gentle arch, the antiqued orange-brown varnish and its features. The good sound of this French violin is strong, clear and powerful, and our luthier has made it ready to play and approved its condition.
