Charles Louis Bazin, French violin bow

This excellent French violin bow made by Charles Louis Bazin (1881-1953) is a late piece made after 1940, and it pays full honour to its heritage from the famous Mirecourt family ateliers. This Louis Bazin bow is a strong player, it fits well in the hand, is very responsive and is excellent for active play with its bright, clear and radiant, powerful sound. The strong round stick was made of reddish-brown pernambuco and features good strength and elasticity. The head was patterned after the Louis Bazin model; the ebony frog with nickel silver fittings...

This excellent French violin bow made by Charles Louis Bazin (1881-1953) is a late piece made after 1940, and it pays full honour to its heritage from the famous Mirecourt family ateliers. This Louis Bazin bow is a strong player, it fits well in the hand, is very responsive and is excellent for active play with its bright, clear and radiant, powerful sound. The strong round stick was made of reddish-brown pernambuco and features good strength and elasticity. The head was patterned after the Louis Bazin model; the ebony frog with nickel silver fittings is decorated by a Parisian eye and a mother-of-pearl slide. At a length of 74.4 cm, this Louis Bazin violin bow has its balance point centered, slightly inclined towards the tip for better tip control. It is preserved in excellent undamaged condition, has been worked over by our luthiers and is offered ready to play.
