This excellent French violin bow made by Charles Louis Bazin (1881-1953) is a late piece made after 1930, and it pays full honour to its heritage from the famous Mirecourt family ateliers. This fine Louis Bazin bow is a strong active player, it fits well in the hand, is very responsive and is excellent for active play with its bright, clear and radiant, powerful sound. The strong round stick was made of reddish-brown pernambuco and features good strength and elasticity. The distinctive head was patterned after the Tourte model; the ebony frog with nickel silver fittings is decorated by a long mother-of-pearl slide. At a length of 74.4 cm, this Louis Bazin violin bow has its balance point centered, slightly inclined towards the lower half of the stick. It is preserved in excellent undamaged condition, has been worked over by our luthiers and is offered ready to play. Like all violins and bows from Corilon, this includes our trade-guarantee.
