Winklers original stamp is imprinted on the shaft above the frog. The violin bow has a total length of 74,5 cm and weights only approximately 60 g. Its felt balance-point is centered, tending slightly towards the head. The measured balance-point is situated at 25,0 cm from the frog end. Winklers bow produces a mellow, dark and resonant sound.
